Breast Cancer Sucks

Wow one of our own has written a book !
Yes Guy with a Mask has talents we didn't even know about.
He lay aside his Car15 and picked up his pen.
But I'll let him tell you about it.

Breast Cancer Sucks" is the name of my new book published through Poseidon Books. The book tells the story of me dealing with my wife's breast cancer ordeal from the time it was first diagnosed to about one year after the mastectomy. While the book has serious undertones, it is written with my own slanted view of the world and ends up being half health/medical, half journal, half humour, and almost no maths whatsoever. With this in mind it can be said that the book would best be enjoyed by people with an open mind, an obtuse sense of humour, and those looking for an escape to the usual sombre views of illnesses. Being both an adult and tradesman, I have used a bit of colourful language here and there. While I was always taught that swear words should be used as an exclamation point and not as a comma, sometimes I just go with the flow, so those sensitive to course language could possibly struggle to appreciate the author's talents.

The good news is that the book can be enjoyed by stickybeaks of all levels and anyone who has always wanted to know more about chemo, baldness, or throwing up without alcohol. I can also promise that a portion of all profits from the sale of this book will go directly to helping those that have suffered from breast cancer (namely me and the missus).

You heard right! The Call of Duty 2 Patch v1.3 is in-fact here! Amidst a number of fixes to those annoying multiplayer map glitches, it also fixes some PunkBuster GUID issues, particularly the ones where PB was not assigning the GUID's to players properly.

Most notably, however, this patch makes that critical gamestate upgrade from 16k to 128k. Any mod developers will know what this means, but for the rest of you, it means that modifications for Call of Duty 2 will be able to add a LOT more content into multiplayer than ever before.

Battlefield 2 Patch 1.3

Attention Soldiers!

Although the 1.3 patch is still being worked on we wanted to provide a peek at what you can expect with the coming release:

NEW FEATURES

Co-op: Co-op Mode allows you to play Single Player levels on the Internet and LAN with both AI controlled bots and human players. Several new options have been created that will allow the server creator to modify how the bots behave in game.
Air dropped vehicles: Squad members can now send a request up the chain of command for a vehicle to be dropped at their location.

BUG FIXES & GAME PLAY TWEAKS

Prevented ban list from being cleared in the event of a server crash.
Fixed issue with players not properly ranking up on servers where they continuously play.
Fixed bug where friendly vehicles show up as valid targets.
Friendly Vehicle lock: Lock-on weapons do not lock on to friendly vehicles. The box with an X through it will still appear, but a lock tone will not sound and then if fired, the missile will not track the friendly target.

Keep in mind this is only a part of what 1.3 will include. Our live team is working diligently to provide the best update possible in preparation for the release of the Armored Fury booster pack!

Command & Conquer 3

Word has been floating around for a while now about a new Command & Conquer in the works - this the first attempt at a return to where it all started for the franchise since EA Games bought and killed Westwood studios.

EA have released a press release detailing what they intend to do with the upcoming Command & Conquer 3 - Tiberium Wars

Date is 2047 and the stakes could not be higher. Tiberium—a self-replicating alien substance that has infected the Earth—is spreading like a radioactive ice age. The GDI, a high-tech alliance of the world's most advanced nations, is fighting to contain Tiberium, but Kane, the megalomaniacal leader of The Brotherhood of NOD has other plans for Earth. Kane's secret society turned superpower is bent on using Tiberium to take control and transform humanity into his twisted vision of the future. All-out war rages over Tiberium and the fate of the planet rests in the balance.

"Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars combines fast-paced gameplay with new ways to tell a story in an RTS game," said Mike Verdu, Executive Producer at EA Los Angeles (EALA). "We're building a next generation Command & Conquer game that is true to the spirit of this classic franchise, but is updated with state-of-the-art visuals, added strategic depth, and gameplay innovations that will move the genre forward.
